As much as we all love our homegrown hip hop dark, brooding and occasionally depressing, sometimes it’s healthy to just grab a drink, light up the grill and celebrate. And SEE MORE PERSPECTIVE, the St. Paul native, Chicago transplant and current Minneapolis resident, will be providing the soundtrack to many a summertime celebration with his new single, “Summertime Hip Hop BBQ Jam for the World.”
Featuring the bouncy, immediately catchy title track, the single also boasts three bonus songs: the dub-pop anti-love-letter “Crumbs in My Butter,” monster hip hop banger “Positive,” and funky, multilayered instrumental track “Brief Suspension (of Disbelief).” See More’s infectious energy, machine-gun flow and upbeat humanism tie the songs together, though guest spots from Chicago’s vibrant indie hip hop scene add their own distinctive flavors to the mix. Summer in the Twin Cities is a beautiful thing.
